Waking Up

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” I am insane. You are insane. The entire world is insane; yes, the entire world is insane. There are far more insane people here than sane.

Why? Because we live in a world of disillusion, ego and conditioning. We live in a world of people who believe in their thoughts. We live in a world of perceived separateness from source. CRAZYmaking bullshit. Our minds trick us into believing everything we think. Our minds believe our negativity and separateness, but our thoughts are not real.

(Big and bold in case you didn’t catch it the first time.)

For the longest time I thought it was hard to break free. It has been hard to break free, but I think I just haven’t had the rights practices–for me. I also have continued destructive habits that didn’t let me fully break free. The truth is, until we are ready, we’re not ready. We may hear truth. We may recognize it as truth. We may want to change, but until we go all in, until we are so sick of ourselves there is no other way, we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done because, well, we’ve always done it. We are creatures of habit.

But, and this is a big but, at our cores we are stronger than the ‘creature.’ Something deeper and more real is animating us. WE CAN CHANGE. I believe it and I’m counting on it.

Real life is about waking up to the truth of who we are instead of the conditioned, ego-oriented thought patterns that have been controlling us.

I’m ready. I have been ready, and I’ve been on this spiritual journey for over half of my lifetime. I might finally be on the cusp of the real–finally, maybe.

I’ve felt so alone for so long, but separation is an illusion and I am done with what’s not real. I am choosing to believe in something greater. And that something greater is in me as much as it is in everything else that’s here. I am choosing to BELIEVE and to PRACTICE vibrating at higher and higher frequencies. And I trust that through this belief and practice that INSIGHTS will come; I’ll use those insights to fully EMBODY myself and my life. Because it is all MY LIFE and it’s up to me to choose it, speak it, become it and be it. It really is that simple. And so it is.
